Village Declares 39 Non-Working Water Meters Surplus for Scrapping

Board Approves Payment for Road Intersection Realignment Project Amidst Budget Allocation Concerns
The board approved payment number two for the Orange Turnpike, Pine Tree Still Road, and Stage Road intersection realignment project. The payment of $31,663.50 was approved and will be allocated from budget line A5182-82-4370 for street lighting. Documentation was reviewed and found complete, authorizing the Mayor to sign the voucher. There was discussion regarding the allocation from the street lighting budget, with concerns that this would leave insufficient funds for street lighting itself and that the street lighting budget might have already been overspent in the previous year. Alternative funding from the fund balance was suggested as potentially cleaner. The motion to approve was carried with a unanimous vote.
Board Authorizes Traffic Engineering Consultant for Q Development Application Review
The board authorized the engagement of DTS Provident to provide traffic engineering consulting services for the Planning Board's review of the Q development application. This is necessary because the Planning Board's current traffic consultant has a conflict of interest. The engagement will be in accordance with the attached fee schedule. A motion was made and seconded, and the vote was unanimous.
Village Code of Ethics to Undergo Legal Review Following Resident Input
The board authorized the review of the village code of ethics by the village attorney. This follows an update process involving resident input. The draft will be submitted to the attorney for legal review and recommendations before board consideration and adoption. The current code dates back to 1992, while other municipalities have recently updated theirs. The motion was made and seconded, and the vote was unanimous.
