Town Board Proposes Rezoning Parcel from Residential to Commercial

Town Board Reviews Departmental Reports, Discusses Community Events and Property Maintenance

The Town Board received and filed the monthly reports for April 2026 from various departments, including Justice Calderan, Justice Lincoln, Police, Building, Recreation, Tax Receiver, Utility, Town Clerk, and Emergency Medical services. The board also discussed a patriotic home decorating contest being organized by the Town Clerk's office and Receiver of Taxes Susan Shel, with information available on the town website. The permit is to be obtained from the town clerk. The supervisor noted that Nick is a veteran and receives a veteran exemption. Additionally, the board received and filed an assistance agreement between the town and Bantto Hospitality LLC, dated April 10th, 2026, for payments to offset anticipated impacts on police services related to a proposed hotel on Route 300. This agreement was filed with the Orange County Clerk. The board also received and filed an inter-municipal agreement with the Town of Cornwall for the transfer of two used taser devices, and an inter-municipal agreement with the Town of Minisink for cooperative information technology services.
