Town Manager Reports on Park Improvements, Pavilion Bids, and DPW Facility

Mike King, the Town Manager, provided updates on several town projects. The Sweat Park lighting improvements project has begun, with underground electrical infrastructure and pole foundations being installed, and is expected to be completed in September. The Rice Complex improvements project is set to start in early August, with athletic fields to be seeded in the fall. Bids for a new pavilion at the Rice Complex exceeded the appropriated funds, and staff are evaluating options to reduce costs. They have recommended and approved 32 projects, including 2 in housing, 9 historical projects, and 21 in open space and recreation.
