The project is supported by $500,000 in OPWC funding. The council authorized the use of the full appropriated budget to accommodate potential contingency items during construction. Engineering work was performed in-house to reduce costs. Councilmember Bradford noted past concerns about MNT Excavating's performance but expressed hope for improvement on this project. Andalia Council Approves Emergency Ordinance for Delinquent Account Assessments
The City of Andalia Council passed Emergency Ordinance 26-10, which assesses properties for delinquent accounts related to stormwater fees, trash collection, sewer and water, weed cutting, and property maintenance. Vice Mayor Follock Resigns from Andalia City Council to Become Inglewood City Manager
Vice Mayor Follock announced his resignation from the City Council, effective July 24th, 2026, due to a change in employment. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the residents of Vandalia for six and a half years and highlighted the city's progress and strong position for future growth. Follock is moving to Inglewood to serve as their city manager. Council members expressed their appreciation for his service and wished him well in his new role.
