Youth and Family Services Highlights Ongoing Community Engagement and Upcoming Events

The Youth and Family Services (YFS) department is continuing its efforts to engage the community through various initiatives. This includes promoting a parent survey aimed at gathering feedback, with a goal of at least 200 responses by June 18th or 19th. The department is also building on its opioid abatement work through focus groups and data collection, with a plan to develop a strategic plan in September involving community stakeholders. Upcoming events include a speaker on risk and protective factors, ACEs, and interactive practices for high school students on June 11th, and participation in Holliston's Pride celebration in two weeks, featuring sober mocktails in partnership with Rushford. Additionally, YFS is awarding three $1,000 scholarships to students on June 3rd and rebranding their 'Tough Topics' parent meetings to 'Parent Meetup,' with the next session on June 23rd at Bird and Bear, including bracelet making and discussions on friendship, inclusion, and bullying.
