Council Rescinds Censure of Councilman Saidi Yusufzai

Council Approves $50,000 Grant for Summer Youth Employment Program

Update on Remaining Alley Repairs Following Grant Approval
Councilman Khalil provided an update on alley repairs. He noted that out of 9 to 12 alleys identified for repair, approximately 80% have been fixed, with three remaining. He specifically mentioned alleys on Kedzie behind the Polish market and the Luna alley as needing repair, emphasizing their importance in business and residential areas and that a grant was approved for them. Oakland International Academy Field Road Closure Approved
The council approved Resolution 2026-72, which approves a road closure for the Oakland International Academy field. The resolution was seconded, and after a brief consideration, the council voted to approve it unanimously.
