Urban Renewal Authority Approves Supplemental Budgets for Infrastructure, Staffing, and Property Acquisition

The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) approved a supplemental budget resolution to fund operations and event coordination for the temporary event space, now named Plaza Unidas. The resolution was moved by Commissioner Pignitaro and seconded by Commissioner Patyandi, passing unanimously. The URA also approved a supplemental budget resolution for an intergovernmental agreement with the city of Fort Collins to fund the North College Drainage Improvement District, appropriating $550,000 for right-of-way acquisition. This motion was moved by Commissioner Patyandi and seconded by Commissioner Pignitaro, and also passed unanimously. Finally, the URA approved a supplemental budget resolution authorizing the use of eminent domain to acquire property at 1630 North College Avenue, appropriating $1.05 million for the acquisition, which was moved by Commissioner Pignitaro and seconded by Commissioner Patyandi, passing unanimously. The URA also approved a supplemental budget resolution to support additional staffing capacity, appropriating $100,000 for six months of anticipated costs for a senior project manager and administrative support, moved by Commissioner Pigmentaro and seconded by Commissioner Patyandi, passing unanimously.
