The Finance and Appropriations Committee discussed Temporary Ordinance A39, concerning improvements to the Nutwood Avenue Sanitary Sewer system. The sewers, originally installed in 1917, will be replaced with 8-inch PVC pipe on Nutwood Avenue and lined in place on Ashland Avenue due to proximity of structures. Woodwood Wolven Engineering designed the project, and HM Miller was awarded the bid for $639,986.68. Construction is expected to begin in the fall and conclude by spring of next year. The total estimated cost for the project is $640,000. The committee voted 5-0 to move the ordinance for a vote next week. [cite: 215-238, 239-246]
