Burbank City Council Schedules Closed Session, Study Session on Downtown Development
The Burbank City Council convened a joint meeting with the Parking Authority on June 30th, 2026. The council announced plans to enter a closed session to discuss two litigation matters: one concerning a motor vehicle accident in the case of Via Gomez versus City of Burbank, and another involving the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority versus City of Burbank regarding California Environmental Quality Act and breach of contract. Following the closed session, a study session was scheduled for 5:00 p.m. to discuss the draft downtown transit-oriented development specific plan policy document presented by the community development department. The regular council session was set to begin at 6:00 p.m. Public comment was accepted via phone and in-person for general comments and public hearings, with in-person only for reports to council.
