Council Adopts Finance and Property Committee Actions
The council adopted the actions of the Finance and Property Committee from their meeting on July 7th, 2026. The motion to approve was made by Katna and seconded by Austin. The vote was seven to zero.
Referrals Made for Zoning Code Modifications and ATV/UTV Ordinance Revisions
Two referrals were made from Alderperson PalmQuest. The first is to the Planning Commission to review and consider modifications to Chapter 11 of the zoning code regarding data center use. The second is to the Public Works Committee to discuss and consider revisions to the all-terrain vehicle and utility terrain vehicle traffic ordinance. The data center referral is scheduled for the August Planning Commission meeting at 4 p.m. on the first Monday.
Council Approves Public Works Minutes, Plans Grant Application for Turn Signal Upgrade
The council adopted the actions of the Public Works Committee from their meeting on June 22nd, 2026. A discussion occurred regarding a two-mile turn signal, with the decision to apply for a grant to upgrade it to a five-headed signal. The motion to approve was made by Katna and seconded by Tim. The vote was seven to zero.
Mayor's Appointments to Committees Approved
The council considered and approved Mayor Zachers' appointments to various committees, commissions, and boards, as detailed in attachment number two. The motion to approve was made by Tim and seconded by Austin. The vote passed seven to zero.
Committee of the Whole Meeting Minutes Approved
The council adopted the actions of the Committee of the Whole from their meeting held on June 23rd, 2026. The motion to approve was made by Jim and seconded by Austin. The vote was seven to zero.
