Milestone Contractors Awarded Celery Bog Improvements Project
The Board of Public Works and Safety approved an agreement with Milestone Contractors for the Celery Bog Improvements Project. The project, publicly advertised on April 24th and May 1st, 2026, and bid on May 19th, 2026, will cost $584,182 and be funded through the stormwater and drainage fund. A question regarding water flow direction for a 24-inch pipe under Cumberland was addressed, with the water flowing northwest away from the basins. The motion to approve was carried with a unanimous vote.
Board Approves Over $2.4 Million in Claims
The Board of Public Works and Safety approved claims totaling $1,071,323.53 for AP docket, $1,002,793.40 for PR docket, $319,200 for IFT, and $1,179 for IFT. The motion to approve all claims was made, seconded, and passed unanimously.
West Lafayette Fire Department's 2026 Medical Services Agreement Approved
The Board of Public Works and Safety approved the 2026 service agreement with Ascension St. Vincent Public Safety Medical for on-site physical exams, medical testing, and treadmill max EKG tests for each sworn member of the West Lafayette Fire Department. The motion was made and seconded, and approved by a unanimous vote.
Wabash Landing Parking Garage Repairs Approved
The Development Department received approval to enter into an agreement with Q Property Management LLC for repairs to the Wabash Landing parking garage. The agreement, not to exceed $80,621.80, includes repairing garage decking, finished floors in the skywalk and elevator lobby, and repainting the entire garage structure. Funding will come from the garage building repairs and maintenance services line item. The motion to approve was passed unanimously.
