Belfont Borough Council Reviews Inaugural Capital Improvement Program Draft

Belfont Borough Council reviewed the draft Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for the upcoming years, with a focus on requests from the police department, Office of Community Affairs, and administration departments. The CIP is a planning tool for public services, not an authorization of expenditure. Staffing additions are included as CIP requests. The plan includes estimated costs and useful lives for capital expenditures exceeding $2,500. The council will have two work sessions to provide feedback before adoption. The Belfont Borough Authority will also review its components, including water and wastewater, in August. Inflationary factors were considered in the cost estimates.
