Ramsey Council Tables Crosswalk Ordinance Due to Location Ambiguity

Ordinance 12-2026, which amends the mid-block crosswalk ordinance, was introduced. This ordinance relates to a new crosswalk between Ramsey High School and Veterans Park. The proposed language, provided by the County of Bergen, caused confusion regarding the exact location and potential overlap with existing crosswalks. The council decided to table the ordinance for further clarification from the borough engineer and the county, as Main Street is a county road.
