The scope of the Point neighborhood for the program will include specific streets like Marsh Street, Poplar Street, Elm Street, and all of Second, Third, and Washington Streets.
Newport Middle Passage Port Marker Project Design Presented to Council
The City Council received communications and discussed plans for the Newport Middle Passage Port Marker Project. The project aims to commemorate the lives of captive Africans who perished during the Middle Passage and slave trade, and to celebrate the contributions of survivors and their descendants to Newport and America. Newport Amends Contract for Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater Rate Study Implementation

Change Order Number Two increases the contract value by $585,168, bringing the new total contract amount to not exceed $1,394,493.
