Reserve to Scott 2026 Master Plan Presented for Informational Review
The Missoula City Planning Commission received an informational presentation on the Reserve to Scott 2026 Master Plan, an initiative aimed at updating land use policies for an approximately 800-acre area between Reserve Street and Scott Street, bordered by I-90 and the rail corridor. The plan addresses significant changes since the 2016 master plan, including residential growth and the development of the former Roseburg Forest Products property. A key component is the Storyhouse Montana film studio campus on a portion of the Roseburg property, with the remaining Roseburg land slated for annexation. The master plan will propose updates to public infrastructure, connectivity, zoning, and place types, aligning with the city's adopted Armazoula 2045 land use plan and Unified Development Code. Amendments to the land use plan's place types map and the zoning map will be brought forward concurrently for the commission's recommendation to the City Council later in the year, likely in October or November. The process emphasizes extensive public participation, with upcoming workshops planned for September.
