The property owner, Mr. Dwight Long, represented by contractor Joe Catalo, presented plans to restore the existing structure, which was built in 1830. Mr. Long intends to live in one unit and have family members occupy others, with plans for additional structures on the property. Zoning Board Approves Special Permit for Home Additions on Lake Warren Drive
The Zoning Board of Appeals considered a request for a special permit for a proposed entry and porch addition, as well as a proposed bedroom addition on the northwestly side of the property at 27 Lake Warren Drive. The applicant, Mr. Gabriel May, presented the proposal, which aims to add a second full bathroom to the first floor and improve the entryway. The board discussed setbacks, with the front entry porch addition proposing to be at 25 feet and the rear addition at 14 feet. Mr. May had spoken with neighbors, who expressed approval. The board debated the accuracy of setback measurements and the design of the stairs and roof overhang. After closing the public hearing, the board discussed the proposal and ultimately voted to grant the special permit as substantially presented. The decision allows for the additions to proceed, subject to a 20-day appeal period.
