Daphne Council Adopts Resolutions for Fireworks, Amphitheater Consulting, and Surplus Property Disposal
The council waived the reading of five resolutions (2026-36 through 2026-40) and subsequently adopted them. Resolution 2026-36 approves the 4th of July fireworks presentation. Resolution 2026-37 appropriates $30,000 from the general fund for consulting services for the Bayfront Amphitheater's operational planning. Resolutions 2026-38, 2026-39, and 2026-40 declare certain police department personal property (evidence locker, a 2015 Chevy Tahoe, and five Chevy Tahos) as surplus and authorize the mayor to dispose of them, donating them to Robertsdale Police Department and Creole Police Department.

Ordinance 2026-13 amends the Italian Village of Daphne Pud narrative. Ordinance 2026-14 pre-zones property located northwest of County Road 64 and Alabama Highway 181. Ordinance 2026-15 annexes property contiguous to the corporate limits. Ordinance 2026-16 amends chapter 15 of the code of ordinances regarding Daphne City Park rules and regulations.
Daphne City Council Approves Official Zoning Map Update
The City Council considered a recommendation from the Planning Commission to amend the official City of Daphne zoning map. This update incorporated modifications approved between November 2025 and April 2026, including annexed properties for Joseph Allegri and Balaveci, and three pre-zoning amendments approved under Act 2026-102. The council closed the public hearing and approved the updated zoning map.
Firefighters Recognized for Creative Fire Hydrant Decorations
