Trustee Hassenberger expressed reservations about voting on the RDA without further analysis of the impact fee reduction and stated that a specific issue regarding the sanitary district agreement remained unresolved for her.
Police Department Reports May Activity, Promotes Community Events, and Discusses Movie Filming
Chief Levand provided an update on police activity for May, including 313 calls for service, 15 accidents, 206 citations, and 15 arrests. He also promoted upcoming community events: National Night Out on August 4th, featuring various activities and vendors, and Boo After Dark on October 10th, an expansion of last year's successful event. The school year begins August 12th, with Officer Bond returning as the school resource officer. The department is preparing for a movie filming in August, which will involve temporary lane closures on Route 38 with police presence. The Chief also thanked Don Wy for replacing exterior lights at the police building at a low cost.
