The IMA amendment, which includes an updated budget, was presented for approval, with Town Manager Michael McCall authorized to sign.

Wayland Variety and Delhi Corp. Fined for Selling Alcohol to Minor; Faces Weekend Suspension and Probation
During a public hearing regarding liquor license violations at Wayland Variety and Delhi Corp., Acting Police Chief Mark Hebert presented evidence of the sale of alcohol to a minor on June 4th. An undercover operative, aged 19, purchased alcohol without being asked for identification. The cashier reportedly stated the operative was 'over 18,' not recognizing the legal age of 21 in Massachusetts. The business has a history of three prior violations in the last 14 years (2012, 2018, 2019), resulting in suspensions and probation. Chief Hebert recommended a full weekend suspension (Friday-Sunday) and a two-year probation for the license. Mr. Patel, the manager, apologized for the mistake, stated that employees are regularly reminded to check IDs, and confirmed that two employees have recently obtained TIPS certification, with efforts underway to get all employees certified. The Select Board deliberated and voted 4-0 to approve the suspension and probation, including the requirement that all TIPS certification certificates be on file with the police department.
