Jody Koogler, Development Director, clarified that the abandoned right-of-way would become a private, gated alleyway owned by the HOA and would not provide direct access to Dixie Highway. Commissioner Rich inquired about the width and length of the right-of-way, and Commissioner Clark confirmed she had met with the petitioner and had no further questions. Mayor Reed voted against the ordinance, citing concerns about the government selling back property and the lack of direct access to Dixie Highway from the abandoned right-of-way.
