Bush Hog Bid Discussion Deferred to Next Meeting

This is a $2,000 difference from the budgeted amount of $47,000, and the funds are available in excess outlay. The council decided to move this discussion to next week's meeting.
Scottsboro Jackson Rescue Squad Tourism Grant Application Under Consideration
The Scottsboro Jackson rescue squad submitted an application for a tourism grant. This would be the 15th year of their bass tournament program, which started after a 20-year rodeo program. Last year's tournament was their largest, drawing participants from as far as Chicago. The council is considering the application and considers it money well spent, commending the squad for their volunteer efforts.
