The City Council recognized Elton Peebles Jr. for 25 years of service with Ocala Electric. He began as a line crew groundsman in 2001 and progressed to line truck operator, lineman, and working Foreman. Peebles has played a vital role in storm response efforts, providing mutual aid locally and nationally, including deployments to Mississippi and the Virgin Islands. He also volunteered as a lineman in Papua New Guinea to upgrade hospital electrical infrastructure.
Ocala Approves Additional $1.1 Million for Auto Transformer Purchase
