Fate City Council Orders Recall Election for Mayor and Two Council Members

The city council held a series of public hearings and discussions regarding petitions to recall Mayor Andrew Greenberg, Council Member Rick Manaval (Place 4), and Council Member Mark Hatley (Place 5). Following the public hearings, the council voted to order a special election to be held on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026, to determine if these officials should be removed from office by recall. The vote to approve the ordinance ordering the special election passed 5-0, with one member absent. The council then adjourned.
