City Council Approves Sale of 42 FET Street to Long-Term Resident
The council considered an ordinance to authorize the sale of 42 FET Street to Paul Sedorski. The property was acquired by the city through a settlement with Isaac Anzerout. Sedorski has resided at the property for over 5 years and made critical repairs. He made an offer to purchase in 2024 which was rejected in favor of an offer from the adjacent parking lot owner. Council members had previously brought attention to the property, questioned demolition, and supported Sedorski's efforts to rehabilitate the building. Sedorski obtained legal counsel, completed a homebuyer course, secured financing, and sought assistance from local organizations. The council voted to advance the ordinance.
