Construction Plans Approved for Walker Farms Development Phase 5
The Planning Commission approved construction plans for Phase 5 of the Walker Farms Plan Development, which includes lots 50 through 59. This phase is within the RS12 residential zoning district. A variance was previously approved allowing for 20-foot front yard setbacks for lots with a 25-foot sewer easement in their rear yard. The construction plans cover grading, drainage, erosion control, sanitary sewer, signage, and street plans for several drives. Staff recommended approval with conditions.
Construction Plans Approved for Union Depot First Edition Phase 1
The Planning Commission granted approval for construction plans for Phase 1 of Union Depot First Edition, a residential mixed-use development. Phase 1 includes the construction of Union Depot Drive and the extension of utilities to support future phases. The development is located at the northeast corner of Highway 70 and Highway 64 within the SC1 planned unit commercial zoning district. A special use permit was approved in July 2025, and the master plan was approved in May 2026. The overall development is planned in five phases, including mixed-use commercial lofts, residential flats, townhomes, and a marketplace. Staff recommended approval with conditions, with one condition (number 31 related to parallel parking) being removed.
Planning Commission Recommends Special Use Permit for 901 Deals
The Planning Commission heard a request for a special use permit for 901 Deals, a secondhand retail business located at 6313 Stage Road. The applicant, Brennan Sandifer, proposed to sell new and used collectible items, including sneakers, fashion, and trading cards. Staff recommended approval of the permit, which would then be forwarded to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen for final approval. The commission voted to recommend approval.
Master Plan Approved for Ramble on Summer Mixed-Use Development

The property has split zoning, with RTH (residential townhome) and RS10 (residential single-family). A special use permit for mixed residential use was previously approved in September 2024. Staff recommended approval with conditions.
