Atlantic Beach Consolidates City Fee Schedules and Updates Permit Fees
The Atlantic Beach City Commission approved Ordinance Number 5-26-76, which consolidates city fees into a single chapter of the code. This ordinance amends Chapter 2, Article 9, City Fees, by creating a new Division 6 for Parks and Recreation Facility Fees. It also removes the existing fee schedule from Chapter 5, Beaches, Parks, and Recreation, and references the new consolidated fee location. The commission also approved Ordinance Number 5-26-75, which amends various city fee schedules, including those for building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and gas permits, as well as fire department and public works fees, aligning them with state law and city processes.
Atlantic Beach City Commission Cancels July Meeting, Considers Future Schedule Changes
The Atlantic Beach City Commission discussed and approved the cancellation of their July 27, 2026 regular meeting. This decision aligns with historical scheduling adjustments during peak summer vacation season and is intended to serve as a pilot for a potential future transition to a single regular commission meeting per month in July, similar to the established December schedule.
