New Bird Habitats Installed; Township Pursues Sustainability Certifications

Cipollini and Sons was recommended as the lowest responsible bidder with a bid of $80,518.29. This bid price is significantly lower than the $150,000 in grant funds received for the work. The township is exploring the possibility of using remaining grant funds for additional pedestrian improvements recommended by Sean Gullis, including sidewalk extensions, a bus shelter, and traffic signal upgrades at Willowbrook and Egypt. The county seems supportive, pending committee approval. The proposed bid includes a larger shelter than initially planned, saving approximately $15,000.
