FireCat Selected for Annual Fire Hose Testing

The city council approved a contract with FireCat Precision Service Testing for the annual testing of the fire hose inventory. This decision to use a third-party vendor was made due to a substantially greater inventory of fire hose, acquired through grants, making in-house testing difficult. FireCat is a trusted, certified local company also used by other municipalities. The contract is not to exceed $5,000, with funds available in the fire department budget. [cite: 262-280, 1082-1102]
