Planning Study Approved for New Salisbury Police Firing Range
The council authorized a $70,000 professional services contract with Johnson, Miriam, and Thompson (JMT) for an initial planning study for the Salisbury Police Department firing range. JMT was selected through a qualification-based process due to their expertise in law enforcement training facilities, including ballistic safety and environmental considerations. The study will provide a framework for future scope, cost, phasing, permitting, and capital investment decisions for the range, which will be located at the Grants Creek wastewater treatment facility.
