Resident Reports Security Concerns and Unauthorized Access at Vacant 'Cat House'

Resident Jim Hodges reported ongoing issues with a vacant property at 520 Diamond Hills Drive, which he refers to as the 'cat house'. The property has been vacant of human residents for 10 years and occupied by cats. Animal Control removed cats 11 months prior, and the building was red-tagged as unsafe to occupy, with a directive not to allow cats back. The house reportedly has mold. Police had also posted a notice against altering locks or entering the structure. Recently, Mr. Hodges heard pounding on the garage door and later drilling, and he saw someone attempting to enter the property, who claimed to be sent by someone at the city. He filed a police report about the tampering with the door lock.

Finally, he expressed encouragement about the new branding signage but requested specific style guide guidelines to integrate the branding into ongoing and future projects, as several projects have been on hold pending these guidelines.
