Zoning Amendment Approved for Assisted Living Facility on East Hamilton Street
The City Council approved the second reading of Bill 26-21, which amends the zoning classification for approximately 5.25 acres at 2125 East Hamilton Street. The property will be rezoned from Oak Court Plan Development District (PDD) to Moral Assisted Living Plan Development District (PDD), and a development plan was approved.
Rezoning of 1 Acre on South Hampton Avenue from C1 to C2 Approved
The City Council approved the first reading of Bill 26-24, which involves amending the zoning classification for approximately 1 acre of real property at 210 South Hampton Avenue. The property, currently zoned as local commercial C1, will be rezoned to general commercial C2. This change is necessary because a previous code amendment in 2021 moved the property's prior use (tire sales and installation) into the C2 district, and the property lost its legal non-conforming status due to a vacancy period.
Public Input Sought for ADA Transition Plan; Website and Wastewater Plant Updates Provided
