She also noted an 18-wheeler parked on the street, raising infrastructure concerns.
Ninth Street Segment Renamed Pastor Green Street to Honor Community Leader
The City Council approved Resolution 8811 to rename a segment of Ninth Street to Pastor Green Street, honoring the late Pastor Anthony W. Green. The segment to be renamed is between High Avenue and the railroad rightway. Pastor Green, a local pastor, was recognized for his extensive community contributions, including work with the Human Relations Commission, Cops and Clergy, the Juneteenth Celebration, and youth programs. The three-year waiting period for renaming facilities after a deceased person was waived.
MUED Annual Purchase Orders Approved for FY26-27
The City Council approved annual purchase orders for the Municipal Utilities and Engineering Department (MUED) for Fiscal Year 2026-27, totaling not to exceed $5,792,000. These orders cover miscellaneous and routine repair/maintenance supplies, chemical and laboratory products, specialized departmental materials, and on-call contract services. The approval was deemed exempt from environmental review.
City Council Approves Delinquent Citation Fine Report, Authorizes Lien Filings
The City Council approved Resolution 8808 concerning delinquent administrative citations and fines. This resolution approves the report of unpaid city citations for code and animal services and authorizes its submission to the San Bernardino County Auditor for lien processing. Currently, 32 unpaid citations totaling approximately $20,000 are outstanding. Property owners have until August 3rd to pay before liens are recorded.
Construction Management Services Increased for Police Department Safety Hall Project
The City Council approved the first amendment to the professional services agreement with Tilden Coil Constructors, Inc. for master construction management services for the new Police Department Safety Hall facility. This amendment increases the total agreement amount to a revised contract not to exceed $6,298,480.00. An additional appropriation of $3,298,480.00 was also approved for the Safety City Hall Replacement Fund. The action was determined to be exempt from environmental review.
