Chief Mason provided an update on the fire department's activities for May, reporting 46 total calls, including one structure fire within the town and two out of town. One resident specifically asked for a resolution outlining the board's code of conduct and ethics for commissioners.
IT Services Centralized Under New Contract; Phone System Overhaul Planned
The board discussed the management of IT services, noting that all IT access has been transferred to the control of the IT contract, with the acting director and chief being the sole administrators. A plan is in place to reconfigure phone systems, including providing dedicated extensions and voicemails for board members. The IT transition aims to enhance security and streamline operations. Concerns were raised about the process for requesting IT support and ensuring timely responses.
