City Initiates Land Development Code Update, Focusing on Zoning and Subdivision Regulations
The City of Moore is undertaking an update to its land development code, specifically focusing on zoning and subdivision regulations. A consulting firm, White Smith Cuseno (WSC), has been contracted to lead this project. The process has involved reviewing existing codes, policy documents, and engaging with seven stakeholder groups. An issues identification summary has been compiled, highlighting areas for improvement such as Oldtown revitalization, housing options (ADUs, multifamily), open space and amenity space, stormwater and landscaping coordination, streamlining zoning and reducing discretionary review, commercial and industrial zone definitions, residential zoning densities and setbacks, use definitions, development standards, perimeter design, building design materiality, parking, subdivision design, and approval procedures. The project aims to align regulations with policy documents and encourage development that aligns with the city's vision.
Annual Audit Contract Approved with Dylan and Associates
The City Council approved a contract with Dylan and Associates for the city's annual audit for FY26, not to exceed $71,500. Dylan and Associates have performed the audit for several years and are known for their efficiency.
City Council Concludes Executive Session on Claims and Firefighter Negotiations
The City Council convened in executive session to discuss pending claims and the status of negotiations between the city and the International Association of Firefighters Local 2047. Following the session, the council voted to proceed as directed on all four items discussed.
