Fireworks Sales Permit Hearing Set and Street Closure Approved for Graduation Party
The Board of Public Works set a hearing for June 9th for a transient merchant license for Lucas Fireworks to sell fireworks at 135 Douglas Road (Golden Corral parking lot) from June 16th to July 8th, operating daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Additionally, the board approved a request for a graduation party street closure on Calhoun Street between Grove Street and the alley south of Grove on June 13th, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., subject to normal conditions.
Public Works and Utility Boards Approve Legal Services Agreements and Claim Dockets
The Board of Public Works approved a Public Service Agreement (PSA) with McKen Evans for general municipal legal services at standard hourly rates, designating the city's representative as the signatory. The board also approved 12 claim dockets totaling $1,868,716.82, plus an additional single docket. The Utility Board similarly approved a PSA with McKen Evans for general municipal and utility legal services and approved nine claim dockets amounting to $2,156,423.66.
