Proposal to Establish Charter Commission via Ballot Question
A resident proposed that the Milstone Township Committee adopt an ordinance to place a public question on the next general election ballot regarding the creation of a charter commission. This commission, governed by the Optional Municipality Charter Law, would evaluate alternative government structures like a council-manager plan to potentially increase administrative professionalism, separate politics from operations, and give residents a direct voice. The commission would consist of five volunteer members to digest resident complaints, concerns, and suggestions and present them professionally.

Proposal to Enact Ordinance Against Unlicensed Trade Professionals
Tony Kaciotti proposed an ordinance for the township committee to impose maximum penalties and enhance enforcement against unlicensed persons performing regulated trades, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, locksmithing, landscaping, and fire sprinklers. The construction and code officials believe it's a good idea. The proposal involves potential fines, vehicle impoundment, and tool seizure for violations. The ordinance would be reviewed by the tax committee and legal counsel.
