City Launches Comprehensive Branding Initiative to Define Identity Amidst Growth

The city is undertaking a comprehensive branding project to define its identity and narrative as it grows. The project, conducted by Civic Brand, involved extensive research including interviews with council members and staff, community surveys, focus groups, and public engagement events. The audit identified four key focus areas: proactive leadership with service with heart, erasing the destination deficit while maintaining character through intentional human-scale development, stewardship of the Hill Country, and unifying a fragmented identity. These focus areas will guide the development of the brand strategy and identity design, with a target completion date of Fall 2026. The project aims to improve civic pride, attract talent and businesses, manage growth responsibly, and create a stronger sense of place.
