Leverne Board Reviews Zoning Ordinance Amendment (Ordinance 2026-11)
The board of mayor and alderman addressed ordinance 2026-11, an amendment to chapter 14 of the Lever zoning ordinance concerning administration and procedures. This ordinance had previously received a favorable recommendation from the planning commission on April 28th. The public hearing for this ordinance was opened, but seeing no one wishing to speak, it was closed, and the board reconvened at 6 pm.
Leverne Board Holds Public Hearing on Annual Budget and Tax Rate for FY 2026-2027
The board of mayor and alderman held a public hearing on June 2nd, 2026, to discuss ordinance 2026-08, which adopts the annual budget and tax rate for the fiscal year beginning July 1st, 2026, through June 30th, 2027. A resident, Dan Epright of 114 Seward Street, Smyrna, Tennessee, spoke briefly, questioning if the board was ahead of schedule for the second reading. No further public comments were made.
