Trail Projects Advance, Storm Damage Addressed by Township Staff

The Strasburg Pike to Oakview Road Trail has had its final walkthrough with minor punch list items remaining; it offers a great loop system and is inviting to the community. The board expressed appreciation for the township staff's handling of recent storm damages, particularly in Community Park, which sustained significant damage and required extensive cleanup by public works staff. Other parks like Florin Park and Lafayette also experienced some damage, but key areas were reopened quickly. The township is tracking costs associated with storm cleanup and exploring potential state or federal reimbursement.
Sewer Planning Module Approved for New Dunkin' Donuts
The board approved a resolution for a sewer planning module for Dunkin' Donuts at 1625 Old Field of Lancaster. The proposed location, formerly a Union Bank, has been vacant. The new Dunkin' Donuts, based on its seating count, will require two additional equivalent dwelling units (EDUs) for sewer capacity.
