City Council Approves Comprehensive Plan Change for Creekide Commercial Center and Rezoning for Aspen Creek Villas

The City Council approved a comprehensive plan change for Creekide Commercial Center, rezoning approximately 52 acres from a level six regional commercial employment designation to a mix of level two and level three urban residential and transitional area designations to allow for future development. The applicant intends to submit applications for a plan unit development and rezoning request. Additionally, the council approved a plan unit development and rezoning request for Aspen Creek Villas, changing approximately 90 acres from commercial heavy to single-family residential compact to permit the development of a new residential neighborhood. This development proposes a maximum of 350 single-family residential lots, each with a minimum size of 6,000 square feet.
