Brighton Police Respond to 223 Fireworks-Related Calls During 4th of July Period
Chief Dominico reported on the 4th of July calls for service, noting a total of 223 fireworks-related calls between July 1st and July 5th. The majority of these calls, 141, occurred on July 4th. While the total number of documented fireworks complaints was 91, officers were often unable to locate violations or contact the reporting party upon arrival. The total call volume on July 4th was approximately 290, nearly double the average daily volume.
