Knox County Council Approves Rezoning for Eddie Thompson Drive to R2

Rebecca Blaygrave announced the dedication of a new park, Minatini, at First and Hart Street, which is planted with native grasses and flowers. The park is dedicated to the recognition of Native Americans. The dedication ceremony was scheduled for the following day and would feature speakers from the Peoria and Miami tribes, along with Mayor Yoakum.

903 Broadway Street Rezoned from C1 to R2 for Residential Use

Additional Appropriation of $24,800 Approved for Animal Shelter Mower and Operations

Of this amount, $16,800 is from violation fees to purchase a mower for the animal shelter, and the remaining amount is from the 270 fund. This appropriation allows the animal shelter to utilize its remaining grant money and procure necessary equipment. No public comment was made regarding this resolution during the public hearing. The resolution passed unanimously.
