Town Hall to Expand Space for County Sheriff's Office
A motion was made to authorize the supervisor to sign a lease agreement for the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office to occupy an additional 659 square feet of space within the town hall, in addition to their current lease.
Town Awaiting Grant Confirmation for Pool Repairs
The town is awaiting a letter from Louisa Mains to confirm $198,000 in grant money from Camp Company for pool repairs. The original grant application was beyond the scope of current needs, necessitating a reapplication. The town is exploring whether allocated funds for closed pools can be legally held for repairs and added to potential new grant money, and if not, if they are reapplying for the grant.
Town Board Approves Legislative Modifications and Transfers
A motion was made to approve legislative modifications and transfers as submitted.
Liquor License Waiting Period Waived; Employee Fee Policy Added
A motion was made to consider waiving the 30-day waiting period for a liquor license at 663 Old Liverpool Road, PBJ's Lunchbach LLC. Following this, a motion was made to authorize the addition of an incoming and outgoing employee fee policy to the employee handbook.
Town Receives 'Isolate Kit' Grant; Road Repair Discussions Planned
The town has been awarded an 'isolate kit' through PERMA (Permanent Grant Disbursement Agreement) for $1,375, work done by Cora Dawson. This kit will be visible in town. The town and DeWitt will meet on Wednesday to discuss road completion, after which they will approach the Department of Transportation, noting that the road's catch basins are state-owned and the road has likely always been a state road. The road, dating back to 1840, is partly in Salina and partly in DeWitt, with a previous supervisor having placed a fence across it.
