The bill passed.
Essen Lo Cabin Reassembly Project Receives Final Funding Approval Amidst Cost Concerns
The council approved Bill 3065 for its second reading, authorizing an amended contractor agreement with Sheret Creek Excavating LLC for the reassembly of the Essen Lo cabin at Village Green Phase 1. The amendment includes change orders totaling $27,417.89. While Council Member Rublooski expressed concerns about the additional cost and preferred funds be used for the inclusive playground restrooms, the Director of Public Works assured that this would be the final change order and negotiations might reduce the final amount. The bill passed.
Lafayette High School Receives Conditional Use Permit for Electronic Message Center
The Planning and Zoning Commission granted a conditional use permit for an electronic message center at Lafayette High School on Clayton Road. This is the second such permit issued, following one for the Monarch Fire Protection District. The City Council has 15 days to exercise its power of review and hold a hearing.
