A resident, Sarah Mowen, identified a clerical error in the recorded legal paperwork for the city's land purchase of two parcels on Arnold Mill Road and New Providence Road. The official sales price of $1,750,000 was erroneously recorded as $17,500,000 on the warranty deed and PT61 form, potentially skewing local sales data and affecting future title accuracy. Mowen requested the city attorney review the documents and submit a corrective deed.
City Council Approves Consent Agenda Items Including Contract Amendments and Park Improvements
The Milton City Council approved several items on the consent agenda, including the minutes from the May 18th, 2026 regular meeting, financial statements and investment report for February 28th, 2026, and subdivision plats for a minor plat at 14771 Hope Hill Road. They also approved a contract amendment for the assignment of a contract from BMK Inc. to LJA Engineering Inc., a service agreement with Spectrum Fence LLC for perimeter fencing at Lakapani Preserve, and a construction services agreement with Summit Construction and Development LLC for Legacy Park parking lot improvements.
